A few days of cold and some rain in Slovenia was enough for us and it was nice to go back into warmth and sunshine, especially that we had lots of equipment to dry after the wet pack up in Bled. Fortunately the campsite in Zagreb wasn't busy so we could spread our stuff in the sun as much as we wished (needed) to.
Zagreb
Zagreb made a completely different impression on us than Ljubljana. Despite it being a rather gloomy afternoon, the city itself was very vibrant and lively. It had a feel of a capital rather than a little sleepy town which is, again, how we felt about Slovenian capital.
Zagreb Cathedral
Early XIIc Neo-Gothic
Ban Jelacic Square
Josip Jelacic Statue
On the way to Lotrscak Tower from where a cannon is fired every day at midday to remind of the time.
And she got to the top!
St. Mark's Church - easily recognisable by the tiled roof. There isn't many churches with a roof of this type. The church itself was built in XIIIc and has been altered many times since then.
The Croation Parliament and the Presidential Palace
Dolac Market - apparently worth a visit. Unfortunately, since we were doing a late afternoon walk it was too late to see the stalls and sellers in action.
The tradition continues: the third child is bathed in the same bowl when we camp.
She sure enjoys it!
And so does her older sister!
The girls were enjoying their bath whilst Aaron was enjoying the time with his car.
